It would be a complete waste of money in this household. My husband and I both have finely honed reflexes that cause us to immediately stomp upon or find the nearest shoe and mercilessly kill the little buggers, mechanical or not, it would be dead in mere seconds.
And, ew! Those antennae! *shudder*
The solar roaches take a lot of sunlight to run, they aren't that great indoors. Our kitties love the Hexbug Nano, which runs off LR44 button batteries. The Nanos run for hours or until bitten in half or lost forever under the fridge.
