Mecha Card Exchange List Sent! If you signed up and did not receive a copy of the list, please shout!
*Shouts!*

You were spam! I have it now.

Reading the list is SO illuminating. Many of you have absolutely delightful names, and I have a much better idea of where people are. I can also confirm that jessamyn is [SPOILER] kind of a hippie.

Also, I have learned that msali is, in fact, "Ms. Ali" and not "msali," which I pictured as a reference to either some vaguely Middle Eastern dish, like mhammara, or a made-up name used primarily for fanfic.

Thanks so much to TPS for her efforts in clearing all of that up *giggle*

Shout: I don't have mine. I checked the spam.

Ok, sent a copy, JanetLand!

Got it, thank you!

I'm filled with social faux-pas angst: what if somebody outside of my group sends me a card? Then I won't have sent them a card! A deplorable lack of social reciprocity.
Idem dito if I decide to send a card to somebody outside of my group. THen I run the risk of inducing the same embarassment in that person. Which in itself is a faux pas.
:-)

Now I'm totally sending you a card jouke. Happy Holidays! :)

I'll gladly do the same. Thank you for telling me though. :-)

Btw TPS made a huge mistake in the list.
For all of you but 3 she left out in which country you live!!
This is never going to work!!

Dateline: USA

Don't worry about the reciprocity issue - just send away! I think we do this in the spirit of generosity. Sometimes life sends you card, just because. Enjoy it!

Love getting this. Thanks for setting it up! Now to get those cards out . . .

Does anyone know how much international postage is? The only thing I have settled for the holiday season is my cards, so I am thankfully prepared but I wish I had gotten more cards so I could send them to everyone.

From the US, a letter to Canada is 75 cents and most other countries (UK, etc) is 98 cents.

Wait, what gave it away?!

Since jouke brought it up, I'll out myself: I send cards to everyone. Even people from past years that may not have signed up this year. And all my friends. And all my family. I love sending holiday cards!

Email me for my address if you want to send me a card. I will do you the favor of receiving your good wishes. However, I will not be sending you anything in return.
posted by mullacc 01 December | 15:04
Email sent, mullacc. The favor of receiving my good wishes is just fine. A quick scan of my own card list says I'm over the 120 mark. Perhaps I subconsciously like getting hand cramps and paper cuts and 'sending cards' is just a ruse.

Oh noes, we seemed to of missed it this year.

Yay! Thanks for doing this TPS!

I didn't realize my whole stupid comment was going to go on the list and now I feel a little silly. Although I don't know why I am starting to worry about stupid comments now. Ship has probably sailed on that.

See?

Ah, yes... Thomas Kinkade, Painter of Tentacles.
