Yeah, in North Korea, they even put the bunnies to hard labor. And they let the Republicans play. So much of it shows what happens when you have an absolute despot with crappy taste (also reminding me of the "Turkmenbashi" whose excesses were documented at MonkeyFilter... or Mark Zuckerberg).

These are fantastic. I had to laugh at this comment from the photographer, though:
Even more noteworthy is the fact that the DPRK produces no refrigerators, no TV sets, no radios - in short, no electrical consumer goods at all. Everything has to be imported from China. Even vacuum cleaners or electrical kettles are imported items. This fact alone can give us an idea of the primitive level of this country
I guess there are still some high-end refrigerators and maybe vacuum cleaners made in the USA but I don't think you can find a single consumer TV or radio or electric kettle made here at any price.

I think they North Korea has an official ideology of economic self-sufficiency though, so it's interesting if even devices with electric motors have to be imported.
