Just got home →[More:] from a group ride. I rode about 10 miles north to the meeting place, a pub where I had a couple pints, then we rode about 12 miles round trip to get some pho (Vietnamese), then back to the pub for another pint of course, and finally, back home.

The ride home was uneventful except for a pretty steady headwind (ugh), but now that I'm snug at home, the wind is really kicking up (chance of thunderstorms overnight). It's a good thing I didn't stay for one more pint.

it's getting cold hereabouts too and I'm beginning to appreciate the coziness of home. I mean home has EVERYTHING. Insulation. Heat. Food. Shower. Hot Water. Stove. Electricity. Computer. People. Phone. Bed. What's not to like?

This is bringing back fond memories of the time I joined a bike club and really got into the weekly rides. There was one year where the fall weather was so warm that we only called it a season on around December 20th because people had Christmas stuff to do. It was still shorts and T-shirt weather, in Toronto, in December.

I need to get back into that again. It would be good for my health and my social life. Though after some of the longer rides, it sure was nice to collapse at home on a nice comfy couch for a while.

It was 72 F at midnight. It's in the 40s now. That's what I call a cold front!

It's turned really cold in the UK, snow in many parts of the country (not here yet), and a bitter wind today.

It's snowing! There's about 4-5 inches on the ground and it's supposed to continue the rest of the day. Yay snow!

We ended up with threatening gray skies all day and just a few drops of rain. A good day to stay in and cook (and eat) Thanksgiving dinner. :)
