The new 9/11 memorial seems so... ominous.→[More:]

I guess that's appropriate. But when I look at it I imagine people diving to their deaths in there. It reminds me most of people jumping out of the WTC windows. ):

I can't help but imagine what that's going to look like with Dunkin Donuts cups and plastic bags floating in it.

I can't believe this is the way they went.

It summons up the way it felt to look into the pit of Ground Zero . . . but with the peace of falling water. I like.

I actually like the concept, not stunning, but it works, but I share Miko's fear that it's gonna look like hell in a year.
