That's pretty sad. The whole drug thing is sad. I'm grateful that I never went there with hard drugs ... cigarettes were addicting enough to me. I always feel a bit like I could have been an addict if the opportunity had presented itself.
Beyond the user aspect, it's sad for most of the people involved in the production. "Diego" in the article describes how bodies, or parts of bodies, were pretty much everywhere. A human life is cheap apparently throughout that industry. So sad.
I wonder what effect levamisole test kits will really have in a black market where the majority of cocaine is contaminated. If someone is looking to score some coke, and it tests positive for levamisole, is he or she really going to say, "No thanks, I'll score somewhere else"? Even if you know someone else to buy from, the odds are good that their coke is also contaminated.
