Are you in Seattle? You may want to try this play. It is only an hour and a half long. My husband and I went on Saturday night and it was funny all the way, often so layered with wit that we are sort of thinking of seeing it again.
I don't know why, but there has been more Commedia productions - or it seems like it - in the last few seasons. It makes me wonder what it is about our times that makes the style resonate. Or maybe it's just cyclical. Here is an article about another production Chris Bayes did this year you might find interesting. He clearly knows his particular stuff. That's cool you got a chance to see this one!
