Today is an "I can't decide for myself" day, and it's all Lady Gaga's fault. [This is a petty first-world problem.] I RARELY go to big concerts. I absolutely do not want to be on the floor. But I reeeeally want to go.[More:]And yes, my car needs its rear brakes fixed, but I'm in that "I will probably have five children next time I feel like running off and doing something even slightly wild" mode (for values where "buying overpriced tickets through a reputable online broker" equals "wild").

So if I sit in the lower level somewhere between 202 and 212, is the end opposite the stage really okay? I know she'll have giant video screens, and surely the sparkles will glint allll the way back there. I'm just not familiar with anything other than hockey :P

I will eat rice and beans for this, but dammit, I will LIKE it.
That should be fine, for the reasons you've outlined.

If you want to be really wild, you could see if they have last-minute cancellation tickets or things like that. I bought ridiculously overpriced tickets to see Björk, and in doing so I learned three things: 1) I could have chanced it and gotten the tickets at face value from the venue (my friend and I chatted with a lady who had done just that), 2) I needed glasses more than I realized, and 3) when buying overpriced tickets, learn where the pillars are in the venue.

I did end up buying them. My friend pointed out that I'll be kicking myself if I DON'T go, and it's much better to have an experience than I like than a piece of clothing or something else tangible that deteriorates, falls out of fashion or doesn't fit quite right.

AND I managed to score $175 tickets for half price.

God, I hate feeling so GUILTY over these things! I've been trying really hard to focus more on experiences rather than things, and this is a prime example.

I saw Lady Gaga at Lollapalooza (free tickets from an ex-boyfriend) and she was AMAAAAAZING. It is so much more than just a pop music performance. Go go go go go. You will love it.

Daughter and I called the babysitter from the car, "How's Henry?" (her 14 month old) Sitter says "He's dancing to Lady Gaga, and waving a Fisher Price screwdriver at himself in the mirror." He was having himself a good day!

Enjoy Lady Gaga as much as Henry, Madamina.

I'm going to see her on Sunday at the new arena here. I'm not real excited about it, I doubt that I could identify a song of hers, but mrs. O is very stoked and I've dragged her to enough rock and country bands that I owe her. Hopefully there'll be beer.

What am I missing? The link goes to a list of Lady Gaga shows. Which one are you going to? I don't see any in Wisconsin.
