The Silver Swan, by Orlando Gibbons. I've been slightly obsessed with this piece of music lately, and especially how it functioned as kind of a "swan song," the very thing it was about.

I used to sing this in Madrigal Group at school and it's stuck in my memory ever since. It's a beautiful madrigal. Even now, 35 years on, I still sing it to myself when I see a swan.
