CRAP!!! (in a nice way) I just got me one of woot.com's legendary
"Mystery Bags" aka
"Bag Of Crap"!!! (aka "Bandolier Of Carrots" and many other things with acronym B.O.C.) What does it mean?

I've bought a few things from the woot! one-deal-a-day site, including an Asus netbook, printer, Flip camcorder, electric griddle and some silly little things like Bacon Salt and usb-powered "Woot Lights". I follow the "woot-offs" which sell small quantities of surplus items one after another for 48-72 hours (but not without sleep breaks). But I had never 'scored' the mystery bag (containing
3-or-more supposedly randomly selected items for $8 including shipping) until today. They had always gone too fast and my attempts to click never got me into the queue in time. Lifehacker had a piece on
sites for following woot-offs and I tried logging onto one (
wooters.us) for the current woot-off. It has a feature where it makes a loud noise and clicks in for you when the B.O.C. appears (but you still have to enter credit card info and hit another button quickly to complete the transaction). AND IT WORKED. Yes, I have no life. But I have a Bag of Crap coming in the mail.
