No cake yet - been too damn hot to bake! Was treated to a frozen yogurt instead:

We went to the Enoshima Jinja to see a shadow play performance of Enoshima Engi with the goddess Benten. The role of the goddess was danced by a friend of my friend and it was fascinating to see the shadow of her interacting with the other characters that were all puppets. The background images and video were done in an interesting way as well.

The musicians played several styles of music - including one song on a didgeridoo.

Mostly though I switched between carrying EM wrapped to my back and running after him. The best bit for him was when he threw his toys into the sacred pond for washing money - which involved his embarrassed mother wading into said pond to fetch them. My feet and ankles feel a bit holier this morning.

The evening ride took longer as I didn't trust the stupid yunki (scooter hoons) who were out in full force. It's not so much that I'm afraid of hoons but rather so many of them are really crap at riding. Here's a vid I shot of some of them during the afternoon.

Got home and put child - who'd slept the entire trip home - into bed, then had a stubby of Victoria Bitter. Then crashed.
