PS - Because I am in DC at a fancy-pants hotel, my vodka tonic cost WAY too much money, but tastes SOOOO good. I may go back for a second. I'm on vacation, right?

1 - Grumpy due to confusion with new guy. I can't get a read on him to save my life and it's making me way more anxious than I'd like.
2 - I don't have to work tomorrow! That's awesome!
3 - Planning on going to see a shadow puppet show tonight at a local bar. Should be entertaining.

1 - grumpy morning (yadiyada, Kanye video), stressful day (SEO optimizing Helloooo google we're over here), general crankyness all around.
2 - Perle throws hissyfit at me because I want to brush her hair before the circus. Ack. Miss buss. Aaargh! Get (expensive) taxi who refuses to close windows, thereby messing up the hair. ARGH!
3 - make it to Circus on time, Perle laughs out loud for two hours, rides camel, eats popcorn, screams WEEE WEEE WEE all the way home and was utterly impossible to wind down for sleep, in a good way. Yeay good ending to bad day! Also, my hair now smells of Circus. In a good way!

1. Video games tonight with the BF - he's been working non-stop this week (at least part of each first, second, and third shifts each day), so it'll be nice to hang out with him sans conference calls in Chinese.
2. I won $15 dollars on a lottery scratch off.
3. I think I'm addicted to lottery scratch offs.

1. Another visit to the pdoc, another medication to take. :-/

2. I only have two things left to do for my RM class (a comment on someone's DB post and the take home final exam).

3. Zero motivation. Hopefully #1 will help with that because I'd like to have #2 done soon so I can be a super slacker until the fall term starts.

1. Just found out that my good friend, the one who knits Maddie's wonderful sweaters/hats and sews her dresses is pregnant! It's pretty cool bc her partner is 15 or so years older than her and has teen/early 20s kids from his marriage, and was a little scared about being an older dad (although not that much older these days, bc he had his first kids really young). So, yay!

Of course, none of my gifts for their kid will match up to the stuff she makes for Maddie. Sigh. I have to turn everything into a competition :)

2. Due to a load of life stuff interfering, I haven't been able to work much this week so far. So it looks like a word-intensive weekend.

3. So. Tired.

1) Was driving around a little while ago listening to Beach Boys "Party!" (which came out in 1965...a super loose, sing along-y record they did) and continue to be blown away by how CRAZILY good their harmonies are, even when it appears they aren't really trying. That was fun. The Crystals song they cover is freaking amazing.

2) Gonna go out to my long-standing favourite bar tonight, but will likely spend the evening on the patio, because I really don't care for the band that's playing tonight. I've had some fun nights, missing bands, on this patio.

3) Trying to learn the "Streets of Baltimore" - a song done by many, but done so lovely by Gram & Emmylou on the "live" record he did in 1973. The key to that song, I suspect, is a lovely G7.

1. Been so fixated on website design today that I forgot to shower, and now it's 7:30 pm. whatever.
2. Husband is out of town tonight & tomorrow and I have no plans.
3. I want some plans!

1. No real plans for the weekend, which is exactly according to plan since last weekend was super busy with a houseful of guests and a couple of events to attend.

1a. I'm heading into an intensely busy couple of months at work, so laziness on the weekends is pretty much required.

2. Mom's health is finally looking up, slightly, after 9 months of being really lousy. This is so good on so many levels, and I really hope it lasts.

3. We have an injured/post-surgery cat on our porch (Guinness, for those who know him) and he's a total champ. Meanwhile, our indoor cats Bob & Kayla are staging hourly protests next to the sliding glass doors.

1. I had a really lazy day, but I did go for a walk around the neighborhood with the nifty neighbor and a bouncy collie dog.
2. The baby blanket is coming along nicely. I may actually finish a project in time for something.
3. Called my dad and spoke for a little while to wish him happy birthday.

1. Crunched the numbers and it's time to list the house, so no more excuses not to get the bathroom rework finished.
2. Sister appears to be planning to stay in Australia for good.
3. Slowly ratcheting the sleep schedule back to regular-ish.

1. Met the wife for lunch at a new restaurant. Food was good, if a bit expensive.

2. Not riding my bicycle too much lately; too damned hot. Hope to ride in the morning if the rain moves off.

3. There is no Number 3.

1.Lost my passport two days before I left.
2. New passport and birth certificate aren't returned together.
3. Can't go to Victoria and have to reschedule the end of my trip.

1. Drinking coffee, reading book reviews, and watching kid play NFL game on the PS3.
2. Cleaning house today. Tile man back to work on our guest bath tomorrow morning.
3. Going out to dinner with friend tonight.

1. Got last minute free tickets to Lollapalooza last night, so my husband and I got to see Lady Gaga. O.M.G.

2. Then went to a sorta-Mefi meetup at the karaoke bar and had the best time ever. Voice finally gave out during the final song of the night, We Are the Champions.

3. The rest of the weekend will be spent unpacking and setting up the new house. I am actually looking forward to this because I am tired of living out of boxes and not being able to find anything. (Oh, did I mention we bought a house? And moved in two weeks ago? And the roof leaked, really bad, on our second night in the house and now we have to tear off and replace the whole thing? Whee!)
