Car repair = $1000 less than I thought it would be. Now share something good that happened to you.
After six weeks and about 15 emails, I finally got my landlord to steam clean my carpets. I rolled around the floor in victory for about an hour last night.
I saw a gray whale doing his/her whale thing just off the coastline. I've always wanted to see a whale in the wild but didn't want to chance a whale-watching boat trip because instant onset motion sickness would mean I'd only see the inside of a bucket.
Really nice anniversary dinner with my husband Monday night, following getting yellow roses from him Sunday and one of the world's sweetest cards on Monday AM. Last night, got to meet some very nice folks at our local iteration of Neighbors Night Out. Tonight, baseball game. Friday night, Natalie Merchant in concert.
After six hours of fretful paperwork, I've managed to get all the visa application papers (for TheDonF's green card) in tip-top condition. This makes me pleased and relieved.
Oh, and because we were feeling pretty stressed out, we moved up pizza night from Friday to Wednesday! Garlic-sautéed mushrooms and blue cheese, I eat it.
It's been an unusually crappy day, but I did have a delicious [if overpriced] Mediterranian somethingorother at the airport, and my flight is only delayed maybe 25 minutes. I have my health and I finished sex hours of talks over two days and now have mad money to spend on candy.
I saw a hummingbird today. I also had lunch with an interesting business prospect who initiated contact. Here's hoping a 2 month drought in business is over. X
Had an awesome weekend touring Eastern and Central Oregon, in what was only three days but felt like two weeks (in a good, fit too much into it sort of way). Giddy that I finally have lost enough weight that I'm not horrified by pictures taken on said vacation. Only 50 more pounds to go, yay!
