I have an earworm. Would you like my earworm? Perhaps you have one already? And we could switch?
We're in intensive rehearsals (as in "two days off in the last three weeks" except for when I skipped all of Saturday, shh) for our choir concert. This year we're recording a live CD of Christmas music. Of course, we're still doing it in August :P There's really only one recognizably Christmasy song (our director's somewhat abstract arrangement of "O Come O Come Emmanuel"), but the rest is a mix of newer and older stuff in Latin and German and Russian.
So my earworm sounds kind of like this: "REZZZ oh-NETTTT in la-HAU-DI-I-bus, RE-hehHEH-hehHEHhehHEH-so-NETTTTTT!!!!!!"
If "Brick House" isn't an earworm for you yet, THIS should permanently implant it.
Oddly, I have been earworming on Emerson, Lake & Palmer's "Karn Evil 9" lately and not JUST the familiar "Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends" part, but the entire 29-minute-more-than-one-full-side-of-the-LP piece, which is a major time sink. Here's something fun: Karn Evil 9 by marching band. My high school band was an early adopter of prog rock arrangements, but I graduated before ELP so our biggies were "In A Gadda Da Vida" and "Roundabout".
