TrueBloodWeekly: August 1, "Hitting the Ground" This week on True Blood, "Hitting the Ground": {spoilers} blood explosions, gunshots, dogs and wolves and hicks oh my, caged queens, moron interrogations, people are literally kicked to the curb, trips to the hospital, magical blood, glowy visions, the return of the Tiffany's girl, "we must talk franchising later," missed subtext, dungeon ceremonies, white dresses, and more blood explosions!

It was an OK episode, with some great quotes in the last scene, but the odd flips between high drama and camp weren't helping matters.

And now I leave on a trip, see y'all in 3 weeks!

I'm actually kind of sad Lorena is gone. Who am I going to have pure white-hot hate for now? She was good at it! Oh, right, the queen is still alive. Good, *checks hairstyles*

"Taste my muffin" did she say that? Muffins? Buns? I forgot what she said now, but it made me giggle.

Why didn't Bill burn up in the sun? What did Sookies cousin whisper to Eric? How insane is the King, he's very entertaining. Is Sookie some kind of fairy?
