Happy Birthday, Mr. Moonpie! WHEE! Have a great one.
dhartung commented over on facebook that it's been quite a year. Last year at this time, I had no idea I'd be caught up in the Marriage Equality movement, not the march, and not the marrying, for sure. My 50th wedding is Friday (I'm tearing up thinking about it--50!), and my wife has done a dozen or more. My daughter had a great first year in high school, made it through some boy trouble, turned into quite the little crew jock, and has really blossomed musically, now taking her ukulele to parties to entertain her friends. She'll be going to Girls Rock ! DC camp again this year, and is crazy excited. Plus, her enthusiasm has gotten me to play out a bit, too; I jammed for the first time, and took my uke Christmas caroling. Oh, and went to National Cathedral for Christmas Eve services, took a 6-week dance class and went swing dancing New Years, met great folks on our many festival camping trips, gave tours to and met a couple of bunnies, too.
