I got a postcard today all the way from the Azores. Here in Maine. That's all. But it's neat. Where's the last groovy cool place you got a postcard from, relative to where you are?
My brother sent me a postcard from the Caribbean a few years ago. Sadly I feel like postcards are becoming relics of the past, thanks to email. And writing a good postcard will become a lost art. Those three or four sentences and a splashy picture .. pure fun.

Even my dentist, who used to send postcards reminding me to schedule an appointment, now sends emails, or has his receptionist call. No more postcards.

Perhaps B.P. will comment here and give us his perspective.

I send boring postcards to BoringPostcards. Really, really boring ones.

Hong Kong!

The Azores, that's awesome. I'd love to visit there.

I was looking at some old postcards at a flea market a couple weeks ago. I had just been to Martha's Vineyard, so I was looking at those. I found one from 1911 on which someone had written "I need to marry a millionaire and stay on the island!" A very contemporary sentiment still.

I am also currently sending someone a series of seven 1980s quasi-beefcake postcards from Florida.

A while ago I got a postcard from Venice from an American friend who lives in Ireland.

I am sending my Mom a postcard today. She's in Florida, we're in England, and the post card was bought in Germany.

I asked my uncle to send me saffron and postcards when he was in Madrid. He sent me the saffron in an envelope with a few postcards. Like not written postcards but postcards that *I* can write. Sort of funny. The last postcard I got before that was from a friend from WA state who was visiting NYC. I get a lot of postcards. I like postcards.

Vermont from jessamyn! It was in the last postcard exchange which reminds me I never sent her one (we didn't exchange info, so she's a sneaky devil that one!).

Mefi card swap! I think the one that travelled the most was from typewriter.

I hope you also like "1980s quasi-beefcake postcards from Florida."

I do like those! But you know who really likes them? My post office.
