Best meal of the day: Second Breakfast [More:]
I just had a fry up that would make my Scottish dad proud: last night's potatoes, mushrooms, tomato and egg. So satisfying.
Does a mid AM snack count? I just ate a bag of organic dark cherries. Yum.

My first breakfast is usually just a cup of coffee. My second breakfast can be most anything, or as some would say, lunch.

2 pcs of sliced ham, a chunk of cheddar, and two croutons

This is what I call salad without the lettuce. Without the greens, I don't need dressing, and without the dressing, I cut the calories by over half.

I usually have some fruit and yogurt very early (5:30), pre-volleyball, then, around 9:30 pick up a breakfast burrito or something.

Second breakfast lives here in Poland!

We have, or had, SIX meals, actually - śniadanie (breakfast), drugie śniadanie (second breakfast), obiad (the main meal of the day, around 3 o'clock), podwieczorek (afternoon tea, sort of), kolacja (a light supper), and podkurek (literally, "before the cock crows"). No one has eaten podkurek in 50 years, and podwieczorek is a thing of the past as well - but something called lunch has arrived and is quite trendy.

If I thought there was anything vegetarian to eat there, I would SO move to Poland!

Serazin, our produce is seasonal - but amazing! And mostly local, too... Come visit!

Someday I'd love to go see my Eastern European family homelands, but it'll probably be a few years ):

Exactly Ardiril! I was rummaging and didn't have any fresh lettuce.

I want to go to Poland, too!

When I have to go out in the morning, usually for a doctor's appointment, I usually pick up McD's for second breakfast if I can get there before 10:30 a.m. That late in the day it's also lunch.
