Yay yay, the circle at xmas time and the love sculpture! Hee. I am going to try to get some pictures during the day if I can find the cord to charge my camera battery - if not, will use phones.

Caption: The River San: a hazardous escape route to survival in the USSR
View of the River San, near the small town of Lesko. The river formed part of the border between German-occupied Poland and Soviet-occupied Poland between 1939 and 1941. Prior to the German attack on the Soviet Union in June 1941 the hills in the rear of the photo were therefore in Soviet territory and offered freedom from Nazism. Although it was extremely hazardous and many were killed, tens of thousands of Jews from southern Poland managed to get out of German-occupied Poland by escaping across the river, and a substantial number of them thereby survived the Holocaust.

My own personal version of Green Acres. The photo is a little deceptive since it was shot wide-angle. Apologies for having posted this here before.
my best pics of Vancouver (and where I Am going for a walk in half an hour) are from Stanley Park. I just have to figure which way to go, Clockwise or Counter Clockwise . its a very different experience going one way or the other
Mister Mirror Girl and I bought our first house last summer. It's been a year, and I'm finally feeling like this is home. It still needs a ton of work, but I love it here. I totally need more photos of Madison, but here's the house....
You said Photo Saturday right?
I sauntered into town (Utrecht) and took a picture of anything that was of interest to me.

I know it would require way too much forethought and plannign but it would be cool if we could do something like that in the future - everyone wander around their neighborhoods and make folders of photos. It's fascinating looking through them all. I want to sit by a canal in Utrecht and drink coffee!
Hm, my link to picasaweb didn't work.
This is really an awesome thread. It's so nice to see where you people live.
Have a look at the album link above to see the medieval city of Utrecht today. :-) ≡ Click to see image ≡
Heh, gaspode, sitting by the side of the canal and having a coffee or beer is indeed pretty nice. If any of you happens to be in the neighbourhood I'll gladly buy you a beer and show you around.
Glad you liked it. :-)
