This drummer is at the wrong gig Apparently this is "all over the internet" so you might have seen it. I'm possibly expecting a pink bunny for this. Regardless, it's pretty funny.

Yes - it's on MeFi, and I originally saw it on a friend's friend's page on Facebook and posted it to my own wall.

The guy who posted it originally said it well when he wrote, "The only thing worse than being a member of a cover band that wears matching gold jackets is being the overly intense drummer of a cover band that wears matching gold jackets."

I thought cortex's comment on MeFi was interesting though. Apparently he's a skilled drummer, and in the other videos they do a lot of slapstick and clowning around.

So, he's already being ironically over-the-top. All the Internet comments about "Ha ha, look how over-the-top he is, doesn't he know how stupid he looks" are a bit misplaced.

Yeah, I showed it to a friend of mine who commented on how solid a drummer the guy is. I expected his flash to be a liability to his drumming, but man, it's NOT.
