Tabula Rasa
I am at a complete loss for words and overwhelmed with tears.
The dance company.

That is fantastic. (I love Arvo Part.)

Part of the dance looked like damaged birds mourning and comforting each other. At the end, it looked like underwater sea creatures slowly and painfully perishing. I'm assuming that this was recorded before the oil spill, but never the less, that's what it made me think of.

Wow the end was amazing.

I've always found Dance to be the most accessible of the performing arts.

That's a personal thing, not a pronouncement thing. I just dig bodies moving in a way that is intended to be viewed.

I can't say I agree. It did nothing for me. A bunch of dancers acting like birds and stuff. Meh.

I thought the dance was great- I just wish the video had been less edited.

I agree BP, I would like to see the whole performance too.It was the music, I think, that really did it for me. And dance isn't usually my thing either but this performance, even edited, was just so moving for me.

My thoughts exactly. Dance is my thing. I can't dance but I love to watch. I'm a sucker for a ballet documentary. I've seen them all, or at least I think I have. Something about ballerinas intrigues me. The discipline, the beauty of the human body doing ballet, yada yada.

Actually, that was a big part of why I didn't like it, now that I think about it. Too much jumping around. Sometimes the artsy types get too artsy for their own good.
