OMG kitteh! This cat was hanging out at my work for like 20 minutes this morning! A brief update on my new life inside.→[More:]

so I live in Cornwall now, anybody who fancies a visit should let me know! I live in a tiny wee village and I'm all done with politics and my life is VERY different. I'm in love with a great guy. There are lots of challenges, including my propensity to overreact to too much change, but things are pretty good. My capacities to read long passages and to write are returning.

I've gone from a stressful job to a job at the front desk of a tourist attraction, and from a type a life to a life that is very much about going with the flow.

And I did it myself - it was my choice and one of the most empowered decisions I've ever made. I will always be proud of my courage, no matter how this works out. I'm changed for ever.

I live in the UK and have free health care, and I have no kids or other dependents - this is the only reason I've been able to do this - but I believe that anybody can do it within reason.

So do that ridiculous, unacceptable thing :)

BTGOG, it's so great to hear all this!!! Congrats on your huge changes, obviously they're all for the better. I love happy stories..

I'm good as well, also in love with a great guy (didn't expect to find him so soon after my divorce) who is fantastic with my kids, my family, and my friends. Life is pretty good!

Mod listing is always on the About MetaChat link to the left of the page. The best way to be sure you get fast mod attention is by direct emailing - schedules vary and we aren't always reading the site at the time something goes wrong.

I took down the "attraction" link, but I'm not sure if that or the main link is the problem. If you want to replace the main link with a tweet photo link, happy to do it, but you'll have to send me a new link. For now I will just take it down.

Also, great to hear from you, and glad things are going so well. It's true - you can always change your life. That is a message I believe very much having done it in a complete way at least once. When in the midst of tough times things can seem so stuck. They are almost never truly stuck.
