I was lucky tonight too →[More:] I was riding my bicycle home when an unexpected front flew in. Lightning on all sides of me, so I ducked into a little restaurant I know of that was nearby, called my wife and had a bite to eat.

Being in my cycling gear (and having the bike with me in the restaurant), I started talking to the owner about how far I ride and where I was going to, etc.

Well, I had dinner and the place closes at 7 pm, so Imad said, "You know, I live close to you. Do you want to put your bike in the back of my van and I'll give you a ride home?" A crack of thunder and... "Yes, Imad, that would be great."

Up until tonight I never spoke to him except to order food. What a nice guy he is. There are still good people in the world.
