Gmail help Every time I log out of Gmail and then log back in, my username and password appear. →[More:] I do not want this. No matter how many times I try to sign out, how many times I delete cookies and ALL my history, my name and password (********) appear.

How can I just get blank sign in fields when logging into gmail?

This same thing happens for me with Twitter! Hope someone knows the cure. I'm in Firefox.

On Firefox, go to "Tools", then "Options". Under "Security", there's a check box for "Remember passwords for sites". Make sure it's unchecked.

In Firefox take a look in Tools > Options > Security > Saved Passwords and Exceptions.

Are these clear or filled with web sites and passwords? In Exceptions, you can designate sites where the password is not saved.

I don't know how this works on a Mac, but on Windows, if I know someone is going to be using my computer (say, a houseguest) I just make a new account for them with no access to my personal files. Internet stuff is wiped by default.
