We got my eldest niece eating vegetables after getting her down to our allotment and letting her pick and eat fresh peas and mange tout. Fresh peas, straight from the plant, are one of the best things to eat. Utterly sublime.

Peas are almost done here. I had to move the trellis over to the beans. Sadly, I had very few.

The only good pea is a peanut.

I just got one of those uuuuuuge bags of sugar snap peas at Costco. The mister has eaten nearly half in 2 days. FINALLY managed to hit on a healthy, yummy snack food that he will gladly consume besides cheese, tortilla chips and chocolate when he's in a snacky mood (he hates carrots, sadly).

I should have planted peas this spring, but our window of OMGSNOW!!! to OMGHOT!!! weather is roughly 2.5 days each year. Srsly, it's like someone flips a switch from SNOW to BURNING every May.
