Photo Friday: Telephone pics! Pull our your mobile phone and snap a pic, or show us photos that involves phones.
Wow, TheophileEscargot's and gomichild's shots are reminding me that mobile phones are brilliant little glitch-art machines! But since I am the last person anyone's ever met that doesn't have a mobile, I'm offering some of my pay phone shots. I not only still actually use pay phones, but am also a tireless documenter of the electric lime green pay phones of Japan. I'm kind of obsessed with them, actually...
'Spode, the look of concentration is adorable...I recognize it from my girls when they were Maddie's age.
A couple from the smelly underpass I walk through each morning and afternoon on my way to and from work. BoringPostcards tipped me off to the cool fxcamera app for the Android phone, and I've really enjoyed the funky processing it does in "toy camera" mode! The phone's a pretty crappy camera otherwise!
I really dislike the point and shoot camera I've had for the last two years or so (my favorite one met its fate with a pint of beer on St Patrick's day just before that) so I find I use my iPhone camera more and more, despite the lack of features.
Rainbaby, I love your sequence, so cool that you caught them at that exact moment. I love everyone's expressions in it - it tells a story in just one moment.
Sil, they were taken last year for rhapsodie's flickr pool "Sunday Assignment" - she'd give a theme or story every week and post awesome as always selfs. Anyway, this theme was "Stood Up" and my subjects were being heavily coached. "That Rat Bastard! You've been stood UP!!!!" It was fun.
Maclean has clan tartans on each lampost - we drove around to find ours (Macfarlane) and it turned out the be the only one we saw that had been 'tagged'. Typical.
Sil, on the iPhone there's a nice little app called Best Camera (as in, "The best camera is the one you have with you."). It's like $3 and it gives you all kinds of nice color, brightness (and a few other) options. Your comment made me think of the quote above, because despite the original iPhone's weak camera, I took so many picture with it because it was also my phone an my iPod (and Instapaper feeder, and game device, and...).
Here, I loathe my AU flip phone and its clumsy, thought technically better camera. I don't take nearly as many pictures anymore.
Also, Hispstamatic is pretty great. If you like the digital polaroid thing, check out Poladroid.
Hee! No, it just happened to be kind of dusky, and I didn't want to turn on the light and spook her, so I snuck up and clicked away. Just a little snooze on the sofa between bouts of chasing lint and string and small children.
