Budget Bytes I am so in love with this cooking blog.
Cool. This is right up my alley.

The creamed spinach and raspberry oat bars are on my "make this soon!" list!

Oh, sweet. Thanks, TPS.

This looks great! I think this might be the push I need to make soft pretzels.

TPS, if you have leftover creamed spinach, you can beat in an egg or two and bake it in a buttered dish and you end up with an slightly puffy spinach gratin. Sooooooo good, one of my favorite things to eat. (Or you can mix it with beaten egg yolks, then fold it into whipped egg whites for a decent soufflé, which is very nice indeed.)

Oh, my: the sushi bowls look like a great summertime dish. Such a simple idea, so appealing!

Oh, Elsa: valette wrote up a recipe for soft pretzels last year. So nommy. I'd find the link for you if I wasn't on my phone.

In conclusion, though, you should DEFINITELY make them. Mmmmm.

Oh, good heads up, jonathanstrange! I'll see if I can find it.

Am right now eating pita bread I made this morning. Mmm, puffy.

IT IS SO GOOD AND YOU WILL LIKE IT.

Also, that "an" was an editing splice: the sentence originally read an amazing, slightly puffy spinach gratin. Because it IS amazingly yum.

I always have a little mental hangup when it comes to these blogs that break down the meals by ingredients per serving because (1) the grocery prices here in Alaska are so much higher than outside, and (2) I've seen so many of them list things like "dash of salt - $0.003" and that seems terribly pretentious and I get all eye-roll-y. I totally get that making food from scratch is cheaper than buying pre-made, but still.

Those raspberry oat bars, however, look soooo yummy.

(Elsa - here's my writeup on soft pretzels, I couldn't find where I posted it to MeCha though. They are certainly nommingly yum.)
