For dinner tonight I had Occhiblu's broccoli arrabiata, which is so delicious that I think it should be shared yet again for the new folks.
Yesterday, at a japanese convenience store, I bought a microwaveable container of rice porridge with abalone. I'm working up to trying it. I also bought some hot sauce, just in case it needs it.

I just never get tired of broccoli.

I'm working on my homemade sourdough tonight! This is my third attempt. (The first loaf I made was totally flat, the second was OK, but a bizarre shape and undercooked.) This loaf is looking pretty hopeful. No telling till it cools and I can try a slice though...

Sourdough advice and recipes welcome.

The best way to slice still-hot bread is to heat the knife blade on the stove for a few seconds first. With each slice.
