The Facts in the Case of Dr. Andrew Wakefield. A (really well done, I think) comic-book take on the MMR vaccine scare, by Darryl Cunningham.
Outstanding!

Is it too much, in the Twenty-First Century, for a malicious quack doctor like Wakefield to have every penny he owns taken away to compensate the thousands of measles victims who suffered because of his quackery, and maybe get thrown in jail for a dozen years for fraud?

And if Jim Carrey and Jennie McCarthy want to help him, let's take away all their money to help his victims too. I might even go see a Jim Carrey movie if the money went to measles victims and NOT him.

Then, with that precedent set, we can go after the people who are making big bucks as Climate Change Denialists.

I love that idea.

*sigh*. . .I would send this to my wife but it would only restart this running fight we have about vaccines (MMR in particular), and "Western Medicine" in general.

The statistically predictable negative reactions (although infinitesimal) are proof, to her, that vaccines are evil. Never mind the numbers of people still alive that otherwise would not be.

Emotion trumps logic over and over again, danf. It's just the way most humans operate.

I want to toss copies of this from airplanes criss-crossing the country.

I want to animate it and use Google TV to run it on cable.

As a victim of childhood measles (which rendered me half-deaf and potentially sterile), I approve of this wholeheartedly.
