My family went out last night (plus my father's bitchy commentary the entire time and my brother not showing up, but at least he called).

Fucking useless holiday that where my mother tries to pretend that we don't all hate each other.

I had a nice chat with my mom. My sister is apparently working at The Strand bookstore, according to her she wouldn't have applied if she knew the interview process was going to be so tough.

Also, the employment rate for college grads is, like, %40. Grim news for me!

I got flowers for the first time from my little dude - and while he is too small to cook breakfast he did try and feed me the bits of lunch he didn't like.

After he had put them in his mouth of course.

Ahhh motherhood.

We had a lovely low-key day. Both parents are still recovering from a bit of jet lag after returning from their long trip, so after I came home from work, we packed into the car and went to a little jazz concert. Afterwards, German comfort food and chats with friendly fellow tavern-goers here before bestowing gifts and many hugs.

Had a nice visit with my mom and my step-mom and my sisters. Mom probably won't remember it, she doesn't remember much, but it's still nice seeing her. I makes me sad though since she's such a pale shadow of the giant person she used to be.

I got a digital picture frame. This one. I have wanted one for a while. I'm excited. I used to think they were kind of impersonal but now I'm into them.

We all went to my parents house for lunch and then we all walked to the park. The weather was gorgeous. It was a great day.
