Can somebody say “fail”?

Well, I find it a little difficult to criticize; but...OK!

Wow. $70,000.00 spent on .... nothing. Just wow.

The mind boggles at these asshats.

Aw, I do tend to get a little sad at the thought of somebody throwing a party and no one showing up.

But there were still 300 of them, which could have made for one hell of a raging kegger, if they weren't all a bunch of stick-in-the-ass, hateful fuckers, so... No sadness for them.

America “made the choice of death” in the 2008 election.

But wait! Doesn't death just mean you are rewarded in heaven? They make it sound so negative!

Me, I get a little sad at the thought of somebody throwing a party and no one coming.
Because, honestly, if these people came more often they'd probably find a lot better uses for their time.

obscure reference - I think they're talking about a different kind of death than just the end of their corporeal body. They're talking about real death - oblivion (or hell or whev). See, there are two kinds of people - those who will be literally saved from death, and the rest of us ungrateful fuckers will be "left behind".

As an atheist, I have sort of a sick fascination with the current internet in-fighting between mainstream theology and dispensationalism.

Also, there's a poll. I rated the spiritual health of our nation as "Great!" although now that I'm thinking about it, maybe I should have picked the less-popular "Never Better!"

Compare and contrast to the hundreds of thousands attending pro-immigration rallies and ask yourself "does the Right Wing really have the votes?" I'm actually somewhat relieved 'our' rallies didn't get covered much by the MSM; it'll help make the Righties more complacent. And if the Left does not become disheartened by 538's dubious polling (and it's all dubious this year), we (and I'm including most bunnies in the 'Left' category) should make it to the polls in greater numbers than the Righties in November. Add the organizational and fund-raising problems of the GOP, their inevitable loss of support over backing the big bad banks in the Economic Reform debate, the impossibility of keeping RonPaulists and some other Tea Partiers in line, the fact that the 'opinion leaders' like Beck and Palin make their money from a frustrated GOP base (and they are all about money, not power, you'd better believe) and this is not going to be a great year at the polls for the Right Wing.

And considering the usual mid-term expectations, if the Dems only lose a handful of seats, it'll be considered a victory by the Conventional Wisdom (which rarely gets anything right) and if most of the losses are 'moderates' like the retiring Stupak, it'll make the activist wing of the Dem Party stronger. As long as we GOTFV (Get Out The Fucking Vote).

Dispensationalism! I'm learning new theology here! The spiritual health of the nation just increased ever so slightly. We're getting that needed spiritual health care reform. So what happens after Christ returns and rules the world for a thousand years? It's great that God chose a power of 10 for this rather than some irrational, or worse, transcendental number.

From the article: Just think of what that $70,000 could have been used for. Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, sheltering the homeless, perhaps? You know, things that real Christians do.

Amen.

Fucking idiots scheduled it on the same day as the NASCAR Sprint Cup race over in Martinsville. All their prospective attendees were at tailgate parties.
