As it happens, when I got home work from tonight, I sat by the pond in my backyard and spent some quality time with a duck that has claimed it as its own.
I've never had my own private duck before. It's quite soothing.
I like ducks and miss the duck pond in the last RV park I lived in. It was really fun watching the little balls of yellow fluff troop after the mother ducks in the Spring.

Your ditty is a parody of the Huey Lewis & the News hit "I Want a New Drug", which was partially plagiarized by Ray Parker, Jr. when writing the theme song to Ghostbusters, the hit comedy that was parodied in the Looney Tunes cartoon compilation movie Quackbusters, which starred... none other than Daffy Duck.
Oh, the sexual violence. My kids thought they were fighting and tried to break it up. I explained that they were mating and then the questions came. "What's mating, mommy?" When I was a kid my friends and I used to try to "protect" the female ducks and chase the male ducks away. As I recall I think one of our friends accused the male ducks of raping the female ducks.
There were some cute new ducklings at the pond in my backyard. Mom duck started with 10-12. She now has two. Or, maybe none. I haven't seen them today. The hawks come down and grab them. It's a sad sight to see.
