Beware of "pine mouth."

OMG THIS TOTALLY HAPPENED TO ME!!!! TWICE!!! The bitter taste lasted days - like almost a week. It was quite disgusting. The second time I was googling around (desperately) for an explanation and came across the pine nut explanation.

I made my friend eat a handful of the same nuts to see if it happened to her, and it didn't! It's so nutty (har har!)

I've been curious about pine nuts after hearing of a pine nuts-and-buttermilk marinade for pork chops... now I'm not sure whether I want to try it after all.

I'm good with pine nuts. But give me cilantro... urghhhh.

I wonder whether the two are mutually exclusive wrt reactions after eating.
