I don't usually catch birthday threads till days later (and then skip the few I do catch because I don't want the people I missed to think I'm playing favorites and don't care about them -- anyone else do this?) but never mind all that, I just noticed this, so happy birthday BOP!

For my birfday elizard made me eggs bennie for brekkies and tonight we may go out to The Bright Star for a steak (cue envious drools from BoringPostcards). I have been allowed to lounge about in my underwear and play video games all day! It's been a very pleasant mumblety-fourth birthday!

By the way, you BOP fans might want to step over to Metafilter Music and hear the song I wrote which was directly inspired by a BOP comment at Mefi. Fighting the Civil War. Check BOP's eloquent comment there on the song thread as well.
And for the record, I was a wee bit tipsy when I wrote that MetaFilter Music comment and I got all rambly and tangential and almost asked a mod to pull it down because frankly I was sorta embarrassed by it but then I figured that sometimes it's good to have the things you say when you're drunk immortalized in order to teach you to keep your damn mouth shut when drinking.
