Metachat bed fort time... Who's in?→[More:]
I've had an insane couple of weeks, and they have left me reeling. Nothing bad, but a lot to process, and an insane amount of things all changing and happening simultaneously.

Add in the wildest and scariest storm in Melbourne that I've ever seen, leaving buildings with torrential rain falling inside and roofs breaking, cars written off, people covered in welts and streets that literally looked liked rivers, gushing water up to your knees, hail the size of lemons and winds howling, leaves covering the ground, and you leave behind one very unsettled jonathanstrange, who has decided to hide for a few days in her bedfort with cocoa.

Who else is in?

I'm definitely there. This was me yesterday. Today it's even more tender, sore and swollen and I can't get to to the doctor until tomorrow. I just want to put my head under the covers and go to sleep.

The MeCha bed fort has anti-pinkeye lining, gaspode. You'll be fine here.

I just returned from a baby shower, where I spent three hours cooing and smiling and being climbed on by an actual baby brought by a guest and repressing my own predictable, potent sense of envy and sorrow. I would like to come back to the tent, please. Can we all sleep in a real pile?

I'm in, and I'm bringing the two packs of Pocky I bought yesterday! And possibly the four bottles of sparking cider that are sitting in my garage! Also lots of pillows, because what is a bed fort without an abundance of pillows?

Also, can someone bring that peel-off mask stuff and maybe some nail polish?
