So, I got some casual work. Nothing fancy, just processing photo's and data for schools. But today, it made my head explode.[More:]
So, I'm merrily sorting through kids portraits when I come across what I think is a duplicate. No problem - it sometimes happens. The first name is spelled slightly differently each time, so I assume it's a clerical error. Except that each one also has a different ID number. Major stuff up, but again - nothing unsual.

Until I get to the group photo and realise that I'm actually dealing with identical twins. One named Allan. The other named Allen.

Which begs the question: What kind of diabolical fruitloop gives nearly identical names to their identical twins???? I can't even begin to think of all the problems this is going to cause along the line. What were they thinking??

Or perhaps they're being really cunning and setting the kids up for a stellar career in crime. Alibi? DNA? Documents? What a confusion!!

Still, it's the perfect end to a week that found me checking photo's for an S. Wanka, B & J Crappe, and the delightfully named Rong Wang.
That's messed up but congrats on the work.

Maybe they're kids of an astronaut & they're going to send one up in a rocket to mars for a decade & then bring him back & measure them for bionic superpowers.

(wow. no wonder your head exploded.)

I grew up with a brother and sister pairing who were a year apart. The brother was Brian, and the sister was Ryan.

Just took a call about a specialist named Sterling Pugh. (I'm sat giggling at my desk.)

When I was a family lawyer I had a client whose sons were called Blain, Lane, Duane, Shane, Kane and Wayne. Their sister was called Jane.

EssexJan: that's just...well...I'm not actually sure what that is.

We used to have an old comedy show here that featured a character called Con the Fruiterer who was a very Greek-Australian stereotype. His daughters were supposedly called Roula, Toula, Soula, Voula, Foula and Agape (which, in the show, sounded like "A Guppy").

The only way to top that would be to call the boys Rip, Biff, Pow, Blam, Bash and Whallop, and then call their sister Onomatopoeia.

Try the Orlando murder trials of Donte and Dante Hall ....

There's also a case a few years ago of, I think, first cousins with the exact same name, and the wrong first cousin was arrested.

Mr. Wank at the bank

We should all be so lucky as to rhyme with our workplaces.
