Finally Saw Shyamalan's The Happening tonight, and.... [More:]
...it's not so much BAD, although it is, and really, really, awfully bad, as it is...
...WRONG.

The movie is WRONG. As in "every single thing you can do in a movie wrong" WRONG.

Wrong choice of title.
Wrong choice of every camera shot in the entire movie.
Wrong acting.
Wrong script.
Wrong plot.
Wrong actors.

Just plain WRONG.

It didn't take the place of Elizabethtown or Art School Confidential for Worst Movie Ever, but it does now hold the title of Most WRONG Movie Ever.

There's a difference, and I think you understand where I'm going with this.
That's pretty close to what my son said about this movie. I may just have to watch this too see how bad it really is.

The thing I hate about this movie, and I've never seen it, is that every time it's mentioned this song begins to run through my head.

Why are you eyeing my lemon drink?

Who do you think would have made better choices for the parts?

I've never seen any of Shyamalan's movies because they all sound so horribly gimmicky. And I LOVE gimmicky B-movies. His sound like they do the gimmicky bit badly.

What I love most about this movie is the way Leguizamo and Wahlberg deliver their lines with blank stares and dead inflection.

Fleacircus - or the way that nearly all the characters in the movie at some point have these half-smiles on their faces that are totally unrelated to the plot events, like they're all, "holy shit! this movie is AWFUL! Did we really just shoot this scene?"

Or how about the epically WRONG use of slo-mo? "Eyeing my lemon drink?" - WRONG WRONG WRONG!

Wrong as a fish with titties!

I loved Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense and nothing else of his that I've seen since.
