Ebert tries out his computer voice [More:]FWIW, I don't think it sounds the least bit like him. But he seems to have the same positive attitude as he's shown all along. He's really becoming a hero of mine.
Wow, that sounds great.

Joe Beese, did you watch the whole clip? He starts out using the generic computer voice, but at around the 35 second mark, the "Ebert" voice kicks in, and I think it sounds an awful lot like him.

Ah, you're right.

I think it's fascinating that they made up his voice files out of his commentary tracks on DVDs.

Yeah, he uses the generic voice at the beginning and end of this clip, for some reason, but the bit in the middle is definitely robo-Ebert. This is so cool.

Aww, I was misty. Go Rog! Go Chaz! (I've really been struck by her while reading all of these articles. What a neat lady.)

It's sad how many commenters on Gawker mistake Chaz for Oprah. They don't look anything alike.

That was unexpectedly moving, and I was fully expecting to be moved. Thank you, Joe.
