Shortest/Longest Tracks Tell me what the shortest and longest tracks on your .mp3 player of choice are (in iTunes, just click the "time" column and it'll sort for you).[More:]
My shortest: My Dad Sucks, Descendents, 0:38
My longest: March to the Sea, Pelican, 11:38
I'm beginning a major MP3 overhaul, so I only have about 2,000 songs on my player at the moment...

LONGEST: Negativeland - Helter Stupid (18:00). And since that's not technically a song, next is Velvet Underground - Sister Ray (17:31).

SHORTEST: the Who - Miracle Cure (from Tommy) (:12).

The shortest on this computer (except for a couple of sound effect clips) is 0:09 - "Convict", from Queensryche's Operation Mindcrime II.

The longest (except for HHGG episodes) is 20:43 - the 3rd movement of Aho's Symphony #10.

Counting back from that, the next few are Rush, Rush, Aho, Rush, Voivod, and Pink Floyd.

Wow, this is a neat question. On my computer, the shortest track is a three-way tie, at four seconds, between G&D (Georgia Anne Muldrow and Dudley Perkins), Cincinnati turntablist Mr. Dibbs and an intro from the Afropop band The Green Arrows.

The longest is a DJ mix, Cosmo Baker's 'Too Much Posse,' at 2:37 or so. Outside of mixes and radio shows and podcasts and stuff, the longest song is a 69 minute Cecil Taylor concert.
