Outstanding! I was actually going to link to that pic with Candy and Murray. (Is it any wonder both those guys were notorious ladykillers back in the day?)

OMG, Joan Rivers, she looks so young and fresh (well, really, they all do, but I was struck by her in particular, since the last time I saw her was on Celebrity Apprentice, and, well, the plastic... sigh).

Home truth: deep down, a high proportion of Canadians are convinced that they too could make it as professional comedians if given a shot. Look at the examples we've got!

danf: The Groundlings have been catching up, but between Chicago and Toronto (and later LA), they're pretty reliable places for TV casting directors to scout, and there's a virtual pipeline into SNL.
