Funny WiFi Names Via HuffPost. . .(the name of my WiFi is *fluffyontheporch*) →[More:]A month or so later, someone in my neighborhood called theirs *weenlover* presumably in response.

Have you attempted levity, in naming your network?

We live on Hermon Hill, and have named our wifi network 'Munster'. (Yes, I know the spelling's not quite right).

There's also one nearby that's just called 'MONKEY', which amuses me.

Mine is called "Hogfather" (yes, Terry Pratchett reference) and all my neighbors have really boring network names.

Last one I had setup, I called weaksignal, in hopes of appearing less interesting...

My current on is called "Joe". I ran outta ideas.

I sometimes steal my connection from the very nice "IceCreamMan" but most of my neighbors hare just linksys numbers or people's names. Mine is "Bunnies."
I've also seen some named a variation of "UseMeButNotforPorn" etc

Mine is called "Other" because it was an alternative from one I'd set up previously.

Someone in my building has "CheckYourVisasFolks" as theirs. I have no idea why. There's also Ghostface Killah nearby. Of the 20 or so in my building none are open networks.

Mine has been called Domokun since I attached to one of the same name up in Toronto years ago. When I moved to an N network I called it Domokun and named my the G network my work PC and iPhone use TaChan (Domo's friend).

A guy I used to date called his home wireless "I Own Your Souls." The one he set up for his mother, four hours north, was "I Own Your Northern Souls."

I use HeartOfGold for mine. The various computers, then, are characters from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books: Zaphod, Trillian, ArthurDent, Marvin, Fenchurch, Slartibartfast....

Mine oscillates between CompuGlobalHyperMegaNet and the boring 'dd-wrt', depending upon what I was doing the last time I fiddled with the network.

A friend of mine can see a network called "Free Virus", which I thought was a nice touch.
