I'm sweaty and over-caffeinated and I still have half an hour of work but I swear the clock is running backwards hurry UP oh god oh god I want to go home it's pizza night and wine night and since we're not drinking during the week at any time past 5.00 on Friday is cocktail time dammit and it's 5.32 and I am still at work and I have to wee AAAAAAAAAA!

I am in a good mood because of a secret meeting with the new company I secretly want to work for and because I am wearing a snuggie while typing.
Looking forward to tonight when the BF gets back from his week long writer's retreat. A week is a long time! I've started feeling a little disconnected because even when we talk on the phone he can't really get privacy so eveything is kind of vague and "yeah things are fine, tell me more about you."
Long weekend coming and I am ready to make the most of it!

My grandmother is holding my Chanukah present hostage as a way to make me come visit her, which is very manipulative and very like her and frankly I don't need a present. I mailed her mine after our family lunch got cancelled in Dec. Anyway, I might see her this weekend or I might just relax and stick around and see her next week since she is obviously lonely, present or no.

My week was long and stressful and I am looking forward to an evening or even the whole dang weekend on the couch. Salads from the good salad place and TiVo tonight!

I'm glad your done Specklet. I had been looking forward to my Friday, but then my uncle up and died yesterday, so instead of woohoo - FRIDAY! I am crying and reteaching myself to use the rosary.

I'm sorry for your loss, msali.

I've had a stressful week, I had an exam on Wednesday which was tough, and for the last two days I've worked from home and have been so busy, tired and depressed that I haven't set foot outside except to feed the birds.

But the snow has melted, so that's a huge bonus. I hate trying to get anywhere in the snow.

I came in here rarin' to complain about being sick and cross and exhausted, but your sorrow reminds me that my complaints shrink down to nothing when put into proper perspective. I mean, I will complain, and loudly, but I'll also count my blessings.

I don't really have any gaahhhhhs today. My knee is pretty much better. It's Friday. I'm a little behind on my work because I had to watch Project Runway at lunchtime (it's a NEED not a WANT) so may have to do some work tonight. That's OK though.

My gaaaahhh is a continuing depression that is refusing to respond to not-drinking, eating-well, exercising-lots, right-amount-of-sleep. Had nightmares all night where (in my nightmares) my partner scolded me for all the things I'm (in real-life) beating myself up over. grrr. Am going to have to be careful to not take it out on him today based on that dream.

On the upside, since not-drinking didn't help, I am going to buy a bottle of wine tonight to go with the ginger-steamed halibut and steak frites with parm, garlic and parsley I'm going to make.

Aw man, me too, msali. And Jan. I'm sorry for the bad things.

I'm home now and have had pizza and wine and that helps. But winter sucks and having loved ones ill sucks and I've got both and so I empathize oh yes.
