I am waiting on some news, so this will be either a Really Good day or a Crushingly Bad one.

This day is just like all the others have been for a long time, and therefore blows.

Disaster literally struck in Haiti this morning. What misery - as I said to LT, "Hey, politically chaotic, impoverished and disease-ridden country - how about an earthquake, too?"

Such miseries.

I just snagged a fab red velvet cupcake, so my day is good.

Today marks the official 8th day of my neck not moving to right very much, so it is now time to go to the doctor.

I broke one of my 2 favorite water glasses a few weeks ago, so I feel for you Daniel. It sucks when you can't blame anyone else either.

no, no - I didn't offer that as a criticism. Just saw the word 'disaster' and that's where my mind went.

In terms of small disasters...not too long ago I broke a favorite, old glass pitcher with cheerful flowers on it. And the worst part was that I broke it by lazily trying to brew iced tea directly in it, rather than brewing the tea, letting it cool, and then putting it in the glass. It shattered from the heat. Entirely predictable. It bummed me out.

Predictable domestic disaster: I tweaked my back moving some (very light) furniture around. Apparently, I am unwilling to relinquish my self-image as An Able-bodied Adult just because of, y'know, stupid reality.

Miko, I do stuff like the boiling-water breakage all too frequently. Usually, I am saying to myself as I do it, "Boy, this is pretty dumb!" And then I am proven right!
