Wow. I had no idea anybody from that family was still alive! Bless her.

I know the Franks were just one family out of way too many, but Anne's diary made at least one generation (and I hope, many more to come) understand the Holocaust on a human level. The numbers are almost numbing, but that book showed many of us (while we were children, even) the devastation on a level we could understand.

Man, that made my get choked up. It took unbelievable courage and selflessness to do what she and so many other non-Jews did during the holocaust to protect and save the lives of Jews. It amazes me.
