I really wish someone would do a metafilter post about...→[More:] I've come to rely on mefi to teach me about topics that interest me, but which I don't have time to read a whole book about or spend hours researching (or had no idea I was interested in until someone posted about them.) Recently, when I find out about a new (to me) topic, I start wishing someone would post about it. So what do you wish someone would post about?

Right now I'm wishing for FPPs about the Spanish American War and Fan Fiction. Also some FPPs linking to audio of interesting interviews.

I've honestly never thought about Metafilter that way. When it comes to posts others make, I suppose I just wait to be surprised. I'm making a post Monday, however, that I'm very excited about (unless somebody happens to make it first).

Sometimes when I get interested in something, I just do the research myself and post it. I recommend that - if you've got enough passion to learn about a topic and collect a few excellent web links about it, post it!

And if you don't think it's quite meaty enough for MeFi, post it here! We always like learning random stuff.

It seems like that post is the extent of it. It could be elaborated, but it might be a stretch. But now I'm intrigued.
