Let us now meet my new kitty. →[More:]After trying to get my hands on this cat for about a year and a half - I AM VICTORIOUS.
Someone dumped this kitty and one of his kitty friends over a year ago in my mom's neighborhood.
One of the kitties was very friendly and was immediately taken in by my mother.
It took me over a year to get my hands on this guy. Sometime in early October he decided that maybe I was an okay person and he could be within five feet of me. Then he gradually let me pet him or pick him up for very short periods of time. Then he started hanging out on my mom's stoop and would let her pet him.
Sometime in the last couple of weeks he's decided that I'm definitely good stuff and my mom is definitely good stuff and it's peachy to sit on the stoop and be petted and talked to.
Yesterday, I was standing outside Mom's petting him and I picked him up. While I was holding him I decided that I'd just take him inside to see what happened. I fully expected he'd freak out and want back out immediately (because that's what happened a couple weeks ago.) My mom was back in her bedroom walk-in closet organizing xmas stuff (There are two walk-in closets in my mom's room and one is dedicated to xmas stuff.) I knew none of the cats were back there so I walked back to her room and closed the door and put the cat on her bed. Fully expecting he'd run over to the door. Uh, nope. He laid right down on her bed. LOL. He then stayed on her bed for an hour wanting to be petted the entire time.
Right now he is sequestered in my mom's (attached) garage for a couple days after I put frontline on him and some ear mite stuff in his ears. I will probably bring him home Friday or Saturday.
Let us now meet
MOO SHU.
Moo Shu, take two
(Also acquaint yourselves with
Toes, the kitty friend that was dumped at the same time as Moo Shu...Toes has been living the good life for 1.5 years in my mom's now.)
