I want a pouch for my canalphones. Primarily to protect them from the dirt in my pocket (I mean, I have to stick them inside my ears afterwards—ewww!). Something that would fit my iPod Shuffle too would be nice but not essential. Something that would help me keep them untangled would also be nice. Any recommendations? This looks interesting but I'm not sure if it will work for canalphones.

Good catch. I think I learned in primary school that there are marsupials and there are mammals. All this time I was deluded and did not question this part of my education.
Next time I will lament the fact that I'm a placental.
Although that sounds even less catchy.

Maybe you could get a candy/mint tin and use cardboard as a wrap-around insert? Depending on the shape of your 'phones, something like Altoids tins could be big enough to house everything + an insert for preventing cord tangle. Here's an instructable for earbuds, and you can find other such DIY cases for earbuds a lot more easily than canalphones if you want to build your own.

This puck-style case at Amazon looks cool and will hold your Shuffle. Probably has enough space for in-canal earphones. It comes in a variety of colors as well.

Just realized - that case is for 2nd/3rd gen shuffle. If you have the latest one, you're out of luck ...
