Interesting product placement: Seen yesterday at "The Tattered Cover", a local independent bookstore, next to Sarah Palin's "Going Rogue" was Richard Dawkins latest "The Greatest Show On Earth". Who says independent bookstore workers have no sense of humor?
Love Tattered Cover. One of my favorite pictures of me ever was taken there, and I remain forever grateful that my mom did not get the cover of the book I was browsing in the picture (and did not notice what the book was either).

I love seeing books or records in order like that - sometimes it seems like my mind is just creating an idea where there isn't one, and sometimes you can tell it's intentional (like above).

When I worked in a bookstore, I'd often do that put things together when I needed to display a book I wasn't fond of - I'd let myself put something next to it that I really liked to counteract the "unpleasant" book.

Heh, Sil, you're just confirming my original thought that it was on purpose. Thanks for that, and yeah, the Tattered Cover is pretty great. They're even selling used books now.

I love the Tattered Cover. I used to travel to Denver a lot for work and always loved going there in the evenings and poking around. I'm sure that the placement of those two books was on purpose and that several people have had a good chuckle over it.

I love the Tattered Cover too! I also love their restaurant. What a great idea... a bookstore with a restaurant.
