My WTF of the day. I found this on my front lawn. An oak front [More:]kitchen drawer with little plastic Corona bottles, an electric candle stick, some drywall, and some wetwipes.

Shoot—a feller could have a pretty good weekend in Omaha with all that stuff!

Put some other stuff around it, you got a yard sale.

Candlestick? Colonel Mustard has got to be involved in this somehow....

I would guess a theft. They took everything of value and left this on your lawn.

Maybe put a few signs up with the pictures in case there is someone who wants their drawer back.

I could very well be wrong though.

I was wondering where I left that.

Looks like a classic "kitchen top drawer". Everywhere I've moved, if there are enough drawers in the kitchen, one will be dubbed "kitchen top drawer" and will fill with random stuff. The screws you found on the floor. Condiment packages. That widget you're not sure where it's supposed to go. Spare change and bills in a basket. Candles, matches and batteries for when there's a blackout. Someone nicked somebody's top drawer.

Years ago, I had an upstairs neighbor who was evicted. When our landlady arrived to check the damage, I went with her. I found it very interesting that the former tenant had taken two kitchen drawers with her. I just could not figure out why! I guess she didn't want to pack the "junk drawer", and took it with her...
