My WTF of the day. I found this on my front lawn. An oak front →[More:]kitchen drawer with little plastic Corona bottles, an electric candle stick, some drywall, and some wetwipes.
Looks like a classic "kitchen top drawer". Everywhere I've moved, if there are enough drawers in the kitchen, one will be dubbed "kitchen top drawer" and will fill with random stuff. The screws you found on the floor. Condiment packages. That widget you're not sure where it's supposed to go. Spare change and bills in a basket. Candles, matches and batteries for when there's a blackout. Someone nicked somebody's top drawer.
Years ago, I had an upstairs neighbor who was evicted. When our landlady arrived to check the damage, I went with her. I found it very interesting that the former tenant had taken two kitchen drawers with her. I just could not figure out why! I guess she didn't want to pack the "junk drawer", and took it with her...
